Eleonor Nolan, that’s my name. But who am I? Just as it’s difficult to define what literature is, it’s also difficult to define the identity of a person. However, I will mention a few things that will give you an idea of my character.
I remember reading at the age of thirteen “Around the World in Eighty Days“, written by Jules Verne. It’s a book that I hated. I’m sure it wasn’t Verne’s fault, but rather mine for being too young to understand his art. Even so, this book, although it wasn’t the first one I read, marked the beginning of my life as a reader. In a summer that had turned out to be very hot, all I could do was read. That book was given to me by a relative who I deeply love.
As I went through my early teenage years, reading a book whenever I had time to do it became a habit. And in my early adulthood, I defined what writing style I preferred to read: literature from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
Just as one thing leads to another, from reading came the action of writing. What kinds of things did I write? Ideas, thoughts, short stories. They weren’t great writing, but it was a start.
But who am I now? A person who still loves to read and who still spends her time writing, mainly articles. What kind of articles? In this website you will to satisfy your curiosity and be abble to read some of them.
